Data we collect
We collect information you provide directly. When you submit the contact form, that includes your name, email address, and the content of your message.
We also collect limited technical data automatically when you visit the site, such as browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and pages viewed. This data is used for site functionality and aggregate analytics — for example, to see which guides on email assistants or inbox safety are read most, without tying that reading to a named person.
We do not collect payment information, because the site does not sell products or services. If you include extra personal details in a message that we do not need, we use only what is required to answer you.
How we use your data
Contact form submissions are used to respond to your inquiry and, where relevant, to improve site content based on the questions we receive.
Technical data is used to keep the site working, understand which pages are useful, and detect abuse. That means fixing broken layouts, keeping pages readable, and spotting unusual traffic that could harm visitors.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use contact form submissions for marketing messages. A question about an AI assistant or email security guide will get an answer — not a mailing list.
Legal basis and consent
Where consent is required, we ask for it at the point of collection, such as the contact form. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
Where consent is not the applicable basis, we process data to respond to a request you initiated or to maintain the security of the site. In plain terms: if you wrote to us, we need your note to reply; if someone tries to misuse the site, we need basic logs to keep it safe.
Withdrawing consent does not affect messages already answered. It means we will not keep using your details for that purpose going forward, and we will remove them where the law and this policy allow.
Data retention
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for reference.
Technical and analytics data is retained in aggregate form. We do not keep identifiable browsing records longer than necessary for the purposes described above. Once detailed records are no longer needed for safety or function, we keep only grouped counts that cannot point back to you.
If you ask for deletion, we remove what we can without breaking records the law requires us to hold. We will tell you plainly if something must stay and why.
